you try to SLI Titan X's you'll get heat output central. 980Ti's output extremely less heat

this titan X have water coling so they will not get heat like normal titan X.

i think that 6700k is better for 4k gaming... i looked some benchmark i 6700k was better in 4k.. :/

even when overclocked? with that cooler you should be able to reach 4.3-4.5 Ghz on that 5960X

and the editing speed will hugely benefit from double the amount of cores

A build for roughly 2.5k which should have you gaming at 4K pretty comfortably.

I have no idea why people are recommending Titan X's or 3-way SLI, a 980 Ti is better for the money and 3-way SLI scales horribly.

A build like this would be your best bet. If you want to go AMD, the R9 390, R9 Fury, or R9 Fury X are also good options. They also seem to have an advantage for DX12 because of their superior compute performance.

People are recommending triple 980TI's because he said his budget was $6000 so when you're investing that kind of money, why not?
