Should i wait to get a laptop?

I'm looking for a new laptop for school and i've been waiting for the ZenBook Infinity, mainly for the screen resolution, to release, but then i checked this ad for a local shop and they are selling brand new MacBook Pro Retina 13.3" with 8GB RAM and the 256GB SSD for $1300. I mainly dont go for apple because of their pricing and i dont really like how they look, but I'm pretty sure thats a good deal for any ultrabook or laptop. Should i go get it or wait for the ZenBook Infinity?

I dont really mind OS X to be honest, i just dont like how Apple computers look. I do prefer how the ZenBook infinity looks though.

Problem is there was a leak on the pricing of the ZenBook and it is price at $2200 Euro. Of course that could not be legit but still.

 

 

Buy the Mac book and put Windows or Linux on it.

Don't really mind OS X. I'm not really gonna use it for gaming and such either.

I mainly want the resolution that the rMBP and the ZenBook Infinity have. I'd reconsider getting the S7-392 IF the 2560x1440 variant was sold in the US.

If you like Apple's design and you don't mind OSX, I see no reason to avoid getting one. In my experience, they're built well and last reasonably long..

 

$1300 probably won't get you anything hugely better than that MBPr..

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

That is exactly my reasoning. Even though the haswell refresh for that lineup is around the corner, i doubt the exact model but with haswell will be $1300. I think for $1300, there isnt anything thats better considering screen resolution, storage, ram, and profile. I dont mind 1080p, but i think its still true to that extent.

Haswell Macbook Pro Retina 13" will probably get the Iris Pro Graphics, which is much better than the HD4000 currently used. Afaik it is somewhere between a 640m and a 650m.
