Weird Monitor Problem

cubies1982

Hey,

I've been using my computer for a while now but suddenly while I'm watching Twitch or just leaving it idle. It'll be okay for about an hour and then my monitor turns itself off, with everything else working perfectly fine. I can't get it to come back on without restarting my PC. But I hear a Windows error message but I can't see the error message because my PC monitor is turned off.

Could someone help me find the error message? It only happens after my monitor has turned itself off.

Hey,

while I'm watching Twitch or just leaving it idle.

Sounds like your monitor is entering sleep mode to me... Have a look in your monitors settings menu, turn off any power saving modes...

I've just left my computer idle with only Google Chrome running. My monitor hasn't shut itself off. It only seems to happen when I'm using Chrome and watching a Twitch channel. Then after my monitor turns itself off I hear a Windows system error, but I don't know what it says because my monitor won't turn back on.

Does anyone know how I can take a screenshot of my desktop and save it to a file without the monitor being on?

I've had it on never for the past 8 months. Also if your monitor goes into sleep mode moving your mouse wakes up your monitor again. I'm telling you, when my monitor turns itself off while I'm using my computer. It won't come back on without restarting the computer.

after it falls asleep and it won't turn on with the mouse ( assume you have it enabled in the bios )............. instead of doing a reboot try turning the monitors power button off and back on. wait a minute, what happens?

After the fourth time it seems to be working perfectly fine now. I don't know what was happening earlier.
