Hey guys,

Got a brand new rad for my Water Cooling system, and I know it's best to flush it (there are loads of methods, I know).

Can I use De-ionised water to clean the rad? (this is Batter Top-Up Water from halfords, which states it is de-ionised and also usable in other applications)

There ain't no getting off this train, till the end of the line!

Buy a $20 fountain pump at Home Depot and flush the rad with hot bathwater.  You can then rinse it with distilled.

thanks for the help :)  I was only curious about the prep of a rad, for the actual loop I'm adding some Mayhems X1 Blood Red to the coolant, so I should be gold!

To clean the rad you can use regular tap water to flush the rad and shake it up when partially filled to get rid of the junk a half dozen times or so. You can also hookup the tap on low and flush water through it in both direction which also works. For the final flush give it a good could of rinses with distilled water before assembling the loop.
