Is there any difference besides 3.1? I have no use for 3.1, and I probably never will.

I already knew the difference. But the only thing I use USB for is storing files from older computers. I'm not a person thats going to spend $100+ on a thumb drive I'll use once or twice just for "MLG SP33DS"
