ok so ive been trying to get my sister to buy a new PC but she cant afford one so im going to take all the spare PC parts i have and put one together for her,

i have -

GPU - EVGA GTX 680 FTW

PSU - 500w rosewill

some random cases and monitor and HHD

the only two things i will need to buy are the mobo & cpu... and im trying to keep it pretty cheap... as cheap as i can with out bottle necking the GPU.

Get a new PSU to, well.. What Rosewill exactly? What exactly is it being used for? You said you have Ram, but put some in shopping cart. Confused.

You may want to checkout the new Skylake series CPU's, the new i5-6500 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117563)

The 4590 is a great CPU but the 6500 would be the same price or cheaper and probably will give you more upgradability in the future. Since Skylake CPU's are new they would require you to change motherboards and chose some new ram since the new Skylake MOBO'S probably only supports DDR4 and they use a different chipset. (LGA1151) This won't be a huge jump in price however. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148863) I am unsure what MOBO to suggest but, obviously, make sure everything is compatible.

 Cheers!

What PSU is it exactly. PSUs are the most important part of your build. Do not want a cheap one.

I really would not trust it. Thats just as bad a generic PSU.

Look into any XFX or SeaSonic, or EVGA B2 series for cheap PSUs

B, H, Q and Z stand for different features on the mobo.  Z is the top of the line with full OC capabilities and usually more features and sturdier and more reliable OC design.  Q's are pretty rare so I never bothered to know what they are.

B is really the base model, with as much features and functions to keep the regular office worker happy, while H usually has just a few more features here and there.Your 4690 can work on a 87 board as well, but you'll lose some features as a result.  What these features are depends on which exact motherboard you choose.
