Need to replace my onboard NIC, i am so sick and tired of the E2200 killerNIC on my MSI board, would this be the right one to get?

If you don't want to open your case and use up a PCIE slot, you could just get a USB3 Gigabit Ethernet adapter.  Most use the ASIX AX88179 chipset and they are pretty good.

Most Intel NICs are fine, and the one you linked should be more than fine as well!
