Can I jump straight into Fallout 4?

I have tried to get into New Vegas previously but it failed to grab my attention. 3 seems a little outdated to go back to so does anyone know if I could jump into Fallout 4?

yes, the story isn't related in the slightest.

You don't need to play any of the previous Fallout games.

Go for it.

Although, i do recommend watching a few YouTube videos on Fallout lore and history so you can get some context for certain easter eggs/inside jokes/factions/etc.
