Laptop for school

Next year I will be going back to school (took a year off). S I will be needing a laptop, I am not sure if I should buy it this year on black friday or wait till back to school sales in Aug of next year. Opinions? I will be taking programming if that matters at all.

I would wait for black friday to buy some laptop. Make sure it has 8gb ram and enough storage for your needs. The processor and everything else is your preference.

So would it be worth it to buy this year or wait till next year? As for specs I would like a 12-13 inch screen and a removable 2.5 inch drive so I can upgrade to an ssd myself sine manufactures charge way too much for laptops with them.

Budget is not even part of the question. It does not matter. I am asking if it is worth buying now and only using it a bit until next year or not. So budget does not matter at all. Need a better canned response.

Get a second hand thinkpad from ebay, will outperform all budget laptops.
