Pentium G3258 Overclock Help

so I am planning a budget build and I saw that the CPU I am getting is good for overclocking. I plan to OC it, but I have yet to find a good guide or good speeds for it. If anyone has a guide or speeds to set it to, that would be glorious. Just in case it might affect the clock speeds you guys suggest (if you do), the cooler I will get is the Cooler Master Hyper TX3. I thing the cooling in the rest of the case will be fairly good. thanks in advance to any suggestions people post. this is sorta my first build so any other overclocking tips would be appreciated.

What's the rest of your build? If you haven't gotten it yet, there is a good chance we can make a better list for your budget, which brings about the question, what's your budget? Also, the Pentium K is, well, an overclockers toy nowadays..

Even overclocked this chip won't be hot at all, some people overclock it on stock 

 

Just watch your voltage and don't be stupid  

 

Motherboard in your list looks alright, but an overclock-oriented motherboard would probably perform better if your just looking for overclocks, but from what it sounds like your wanting to do you should be fine

Eh build overall but that's not the point of this thread.

Linus made a video on that CPU OC I think, but it's really about toying around with settings until it crashes. There's no magic number.
