@Nambulis Welcome to the forums!

Best NVIDIA GPU? That CPU can handle any GPU you throw at it, so the best one you can afford. The GTX 980 Ti, preferably.

PRO TIP: Don't buy the CX600M, it's terrible. Get an Antec High Current Gamer, EVGA G2 or GS, XFX or Seasonic. Please.

I am not a professional. I am not an expert. I am just a smartass. Don't try and blame me if you break something when acting upon my advice.

What they said about the PSU, but here's why. The CX series of PSUs are not meant for high end PCs that pull a lot of wattage for extended periods of time. You'll be rendering/gaming, and that falls into that category. The reason why they can't go for long periods of time under load is because due to the components inside, it can only withstand load under 30C for a few minutes, and with this powerful of a rig, it will be higher than that. Go with EVGA/XFX/Seasonic/Antec. ;)

i7 4790k | GTX 970 | 16GB

That's all you need to know. It's a beast.

  • 2 weeks later...

Thanks everyone for the advice and info much appreciated

I have spent ZAR 11 000 so far and I have a total budget of ZAR 21 000

I still have to purchase the 27" monitor, the 4790k CPU of which I will get at the end of this month, just wanted to find out what would be a good fit for the CPU

I have a limited choice in power supplies through HW suppliers at my work so I will get betting a Corsair RM750 PSU instead of the CX600

Any suggestions welcome
