Can't log into Windows 8 after update

I just updated Windows 8 and when booting up, it will show me my user accounts and flash purple and grey. If I try to log in, it will flash faster, and not let me log in. I have rebooted a couple times. Not sure what to do.

EDIT: I do have a pirated copy of Windows, but I did use an activator. Not sure if that would affect anything.

Then don't log in at the beginning. Use a local account. when you get in the os then log in/

How do I do that?

Well sorry. I guess I will have to try and find enough money to buy Windows.

use a version of linux until you get enough to buy windows

You raise a perfectly valid point here. Free pirated windows is likely to not funtion properly and therefore not worth the download.

But one thing you also have to consider is: Microsoft already has enough money.

If I had to pay for linux then that would be okay, because I'm then supporting smaller indipentant open source communities but when handing over money to microsoft, it goes nowhere.

 

To help the OP. Use windows 7!

Use the key you were using previosly. Same machine, It will let you install and activate :P
