so every now and then (hour or so) my monitor flickers to a very deep blue hue for like .1 secs. it is a philips 200v4qsbr and im using dvi from my 660 ti. it doesnt happen on my other screen (also dvi) so it is not the gpu.

why?

If it's not the GPU, it might be the cable or the monitor that's dead or about to be

check you cables again

it can become loose

or you may have a faulty DVI port on your monitor itself

Might be a faulty monitor DVport or cable then, If it worked with VGA I'd just keep using VGA. Or return with warranty if you need the DVI

Yea might be a bad connection from the cable somewhere.
