Hey guys,

So here's a basic layout of a room that I'm turning into a man cave/bedroom in my basement (http://puu.sh/leNS1/f5cbfe68dc.png).

Now I have yet to build/but the ~7ft long desk for my setup, and across from the foot of the bed, I want to put in a ~50in TV, and a theater sound system.

Now between the foot of the bed and the wall where the TV will go, I'll need to put my console/TV box, etc, etc. But I only have like 3.5ft of space, how would you guys recommend I set this up, and fit the box/consoles, etc there? Also what tips do you have for additions to the room, setup changes, themes, etc? I more or less want to go for a clean modern feel, but I'm just cramped for space.

It also should be noted that I only have 7ft (drywalled) ceilings downstairs. Not the standard 8ft.

Also what sound system/TV do you guys recommend? For the TV + Sound I have a budget of around $1,000 CAD. Though I could lean a few hundred dollars if NECESSARY. I also plan to buy on BF/Boxing Day to maybe save a few bucks.

Any help and tips will be embraced.

I recommend not calling it a man cave.

I also recommend the changhong tvs from newegg if you can find one on sale. Great tv on a budget, for both tv and connected to a monitor.

Umm, why not...? I was more using a general term to describe it, but what's your problem with that name?

And I'll check the TV out.
