What is your max budget? And do you need a monitor?

Max budget is 1500, and yes I do need a monitor.

Why are you picking a blue ray reader, do you playback blue ray discs?

I'd go with Skylake if at all possible. Much better performance and you'd have an upgrade path.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Thanks, but I don't think I'll need the 390x, and I want a silence optimized power supply.

What are you doing with this PC?  I can't really argue the psu statement since my RM750 fan hasn't turned on since I got it.

To be honest, I'm kinda just sort of building this for fun. Though I plan to game on it.

keep in mind that with a PC many of the components can carry over in the future. Your case, power supply, and some accessories should last you for years if purchased wisely. If you get a Haswell (4690k) processor you're limited to only the 4790k as a upgrade in CPU and none of your parts (CPU, RAM, MOBO) will carry over to further upgrades.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Change the HDD. Seagate drives have the highest failure rate of internal HDDs. Go with a Hitachi or WD instead.

Can't, a friend has a spare one he's letting me have. Thanks for the heads up, though.
