Hey everyone,

My PC, while by no means ridiculously noisy, can get pretty, loud. I was trying to think of a way to solve that problem, and i thought maybe just get some more fans, so the ones i have don't need to run as fast, or loud. My question is, is it really quieter to have more fans, running slower, than less running faster, and presumably louder? At first thought, I'd guess they'd be pretty similar, but, then I pondered some more.... Opinions? Experience with a similar predicament?

Thanks

The ones that came with my case - CM silencio 352, not sure exactly of the model of the fans.

What are you powering the fans with? Have you tried lowering the rpm?

Powered through the motherboard fan plugs. I've fiddled with my fan profile for my video card, but how do I go about it with my case fans?

Have you looked through the motherboard settings?

Not sure what kind of fans come with the CM Silencio, but the case fans that came with my CM Trooper case were some of the cheapest, noisiest and worst i have ever seen.

Ryzen 7 3700x, MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX, 16GB Ballistix Elite 3600MHz, MSI RTX 2070 Super Gaming X Trio, Corsair RM750x V2

The Silencio 352 comes with Xtraflo fans which aren't very quiet but are still quieter than the Trooper's stock fans.
