Vga Vs Dvi (Old Monitor)

NetifxSixteen

So long story i've been left with this old Philips monitor which only support Vga and Dvi.

Recently, i bought, a 390 4gb and i was wondering if i would make any difference to go from vga to dvi until i get a new monitor.

P.s found the monitor (190S1SB/00)

The 290 doesn't support VGA, so you'd have to use DVI anyway unless you use a signal converter. Either way it's not recommended as DVI is a superior connection.

380*, yes package came with a converter which i am using currently.

So i should get a DVI u saying, should i prefer a cable color? (i heard they tend to be different based on color).
