Hey all, I was interviewed and hired at Kroger recently. At the interview I was told I would get an email about my orientation and stuff, but after not receiving anything for more than 8 weeks, I got fed up and went over to the store I (am supposed to) work at and asked. Well I gave my info, and I did get a call earlier today, but I was busy with a garage sale (that I made enough to buy a new PSU :)) and missed the call. The person left a voicemail saying they would try again later, but it's been a while and I was wondering if I should call back. I did try to call back after but the number used was for the entire store so I wasn't sure if I should've asked for customer service or something. Should I call back? I don't know the person's name, should I just explain my situation to customer service on the phone and maybe they'll forward me to the person that called?

Oh, and the voicemail left was from Kroger and they said they wanted to schedule my orientation, just to be clear.

Yes but Kroger is open 24/7. The managers usually stay until midnight or later (depends sometimes).

Hell yea

Hardest lesson in life that I'm trying right now is that you gotta push yourself in; not too roughly but rough all the same

Should I call back and go to the customer service on the phone and explain? Maybe they'll forward me to the person that originally called?

Ask for a manager and explain to them; if customer service asks why (those sneaky ass*****) just say you're calling to return a call about a job opening

Shipping sucks

K I just called, they forwarded me to the hiring manager (who I believe was the one who called me) and I guess she was out of office so I left a message with my info and asked her to call back as soon as possible. Hopefully she calls back today! Finally I can start working...
