upgrade card

i am looking to up grade to a new graphics card but do not know what i need. i want to be able to play games like the new battlefrount at 1080p with all settings maxed out, i will aso be using it for video editing being a film major in college. i currently have a gtx 620 i am looking at about a 300-400 dollar ish but can change

There is no GTX 620 mate, do you mean GTX 260 or GT 620 but anyway look into the GTX 970

You mean GT 620 :P and I'd look to either a R9 390 or a GTX 970, both cards are amazing and perform very similarly, if you have any company preference to either NVIDIA or AMD go with that company because both cards will give you really similar performance.
