Setting up SLI for the first time

So right now i have a single gtx 660 and im going to buy another one,my sli bridge already came with the motherboard.

should i put the second card straight away or should i remove the first one and check if the first one works properly?

any tips?

you have to set SLi in the drivers, you don't just plug it in and start playing with double frames, only one of the cards will be functioning if you just leave it and don't configure it in the Nvidia drivers

Well, you can install it straight away, connect the SLI bridge and set the drivers...

There are 2 possibilities

a) It works alright

b) it does not, and you need to check the new GPU on its own.

 

Make sure to have the latest drivers installed. The Nvidia Experience app will make your life simpler if you are using nVidia cards.
