So my laptop (a Latitude E4300) has had this issue where it just likes to lock up randomly. No blue screen, nothing in the BIOS, nothing in the Event Viewer... Nada. So far today it has done it 3 or 4 times after resuming from standby, and sometimes it will go for quite a while with no issues. Other times, a bit of a YouTube streak will kill it.

So I have to ask: Is this some kind of a RAM problem? I think I ran Memtest86+ on it, but I don't believe there were any errors. Then again, I only ran it for like 15 minutes since I was getting tired of the fan ramping up.

Sounds like it's more likely to be memory than power.

Sig under construction.

Again, completely random. Logging on, YouTube, sitting at the desktop, typing in Word, and it has streaks of good and bad for the amount of times that it crashes in a given week. There is no real correlation between load and crashes, as far as I can tell.

Why don't you actually just run memtest instead of just guessing it. You have the tools so use them.

you might be suffering a memory bleed thats eating up free memory ... what browser are you using?

Chrome, but again, doesn't have to do with it. I can just log in and have it die.

Yes I have the tools, but I don't have the time. There lies the problem.

Specs for laptop????

Core 2 Duo SP9400, 1x2GB Kingston DDR3L (forgot speeds), 120GB Samsung 840 EVO that's in perfect health, Atheros Wireless card (did it before I replaced the previous card with this one).
