According to my mom who was copying something, the first page copied fine but it failed to copy the second page, displaying an error code of 0X610000F6. I've tried all of the online troubleshooting tips. The printer is an HP Officejet 6500A e-All-in-One Printer Series. I notice that when I press the power button to power it down, after I turn it back on it says that it didn't shut down properly and that I should press the power button instead of taking out the cable. This is the sound of it starting up. Something doesn't sound right near the beginning and the end of the audio clip. Near the beginning, the sound is coming from the top, where the paper goes for copying, the sound near the end is coming from the main printer section. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSAzLjGEMUE&feature=youtu.be

If I lift the access door the cartridge holder doesn't automatically move to the middle. I have to drag it over, but I know that it moves across the whole thing without any issues. What does it sound like it might be? There's no jammed paper.

Oh yeah that thing is screwed, I would say that the electronics in it is shot. You can try doing a firmware upgrade from HPs website, assuming you didnt try that already. otherwise i wuld say your probably gonna wanna get another printer.

I have the same fucking POS printer. Bought it, then had to buy a new printhead, now THIS printhead does not work, and we bought brand new ink. Fucking piece of shit. I normally dont swear on the forums like this but the HP 6500Ass printer just really pisses me off. For your sanity, please destroy it. Violently.
