I'd suggest paying them with the actual payment thing of paypal, not with "send money to friends/family", that way if the key breaks and they won't do anything about it, you can still issue a chargeback to get your money returned. (Just increase the amount a little bit so they get the full $20 or whatever, the fees are like 2.9% + $0.30, there are calculators to help you figure out how much to pay online.
