Doesn't really matter, but a small tip will not be good all round. Will you only use on small electronic? Use flux to help with soldering

In general as long as it's a cladded tip they will work, it just depends how long that cladding and base material lasts which usually determines the quality of a tip.

With good hands you can use a huge tip and solder small capacitors on a pcb. Trust me :D just use flux and patents

You don't need a small tip. It helps, but you don't need it. Hold the tip on one side of the wire and apply the solder to the other side of the wire. You don't need the wire to heat up, you just need the solder to have to contact the wire in order to reach the soldering iron.

Well its not a wire, im using a capacitor. the tip is too big to fit in the small space.

Do the cap leads not go through the PCB? The leads are what I mean by wire.

You gotta make sure the solder is flowing around the leads.

No, they do not go through the PCB.

My soldering iron cant really reach the leads.

I ordered a cheap tip on ebay.
