So I have an old board and I'm putting the ram in. I remember why I hated putting that system together, and the same reason is still true. The damn slots are way too damn hard to put Ram into. I mean really, they're clear of obstructions and it's ddr3, and it takes a metric ton of force to get it in, and it's not even all the way in. Any help?

But first, let's talk about parallel universes.

Spoiler

What's making it so hard to put in?

You're not trying to put DDR3 into a DDR2 board are you?

The board is a Foxconn 2ab1 and the ram is ddr3 team group

Are you sure the notches are lined up properly? Just place it in the slot in the correct orientation and press down on one side until it clicks then push down on the other side until it clicks.

Tried one side at a time, one side went in but the other is kind of stuck at being halfway in

Maybe both at the same time would work better...

Yea I doubt a foxconn board will have those fancy locks on only one side RAM slots.

Yeah no, you try it. The RAM stick flexes from side to side before it will go down. It's one side at a time or possibly snapping your stick in half.

But first, let's talk about parallel universes.
