New Build in Progress, Learning some new things

So i thought i would make a thread for any other potential forumers for the sake of it.

Today i decided to go all in on my HAF XB Bench and truly reward it with what it deserves, Bought some 140mm Noctua's and for all the times Linus said they were incredibly efficient.....TWO MASSIVE THUMBS UP, Combined with my new Fan Controller and those fans go from insanely cooling efficient to complete silence (As it is now) and i honestly do not think i have seen something is perfect before.

However....

Alot of the new Z87 Motherboards that have been working their way into the market have been putting 40mm NorthBridge Fans and i foolishly put one on my Gryphon Motherboard for added cooling. 
WORST DECISION EVER.

I honestly just spent the last 20 or so minutes thinking someone outside was flooding their car engine with the whining of the tiny fan. The purpose of this topic ultimately is, has anyone else (With those small fans in particular) also had the same issues? That G1 Sniper One Linus unboxed last week (I think?) would be one in particular that might of actually driven me insane had i not been unable to disconnect it.

So, anyone else going mad over them as well?

My friend has a Z77 asus sabertooth board that has optional 40mm fans. He was never going to put them in because they sound like mosquitos and don't cool much either

I've been disconnecting those fans ever since my A8N SLI Deluxe Socket 939 board ;)
