Modified Tekkit Classic Reborn Minecraft Server [Whitelisted]

Hello, we are a small community of PC gamers mostly playing Arma and numerous strategy games. We use Teamspeak and are looking to start a semi public tcr server. The only modifications we have made were removing the .lite mods seeing how some of our community had issues running the files, adding galacticraft. PM me here or join our teamspeak (IP below) to get information on the server. It is a fresh world and we need people to play. We are also looking to branch out as a community and are always looking for more people.

Minecraft -> uiminecraft.ddns.net

Ts3 -> unrivaledinfamy.ddns.net

We use the popular tekkit launcher for our packs and we seperalty downloaded the 3 files for Galacticraft. If you need help just ask and we can go from there.

Thanks

Konigstiger

so, i'm gonna say thank god finally someone uses "looking for group", so good job on that.

however, as a long time modded minecraft player, i feel this touches VERY closely to advertising, especially because you dont really seem to be looking for people to join your "group" but more so to pull people to your server. (i have my fair share of experience on the very thin line between LFG and advertising in the minecraft server world)

i'm no where near a position to decide on that tho.

that said, i feel really iffy about that modpack, based on my own experience i wish you good luck keeping that pack stabile after 100 hours of play time.

Well its more of both, the server we have made is very personal to the community thus it is extremely related to the people in the group. Its a good pack, we have done our own work on stabilizing the pack through config and other mods.

I'll definitely hop on when I'm home. I've been on tekkit since it came out. I know everything backwards and forwards

Wait a sec, does tekkit become unstable after a while?

I always thought it was my friends PC being derp and corrupting the saves after we got reasonably far into a save.

well, its improved a lot overtime, but any modded minecraft instance will grow unstabile, thats just how it works. back in the beta days when you got a week out of an instance with 10 mods you just had a god tier install.

back in the tekkit days i found myself reinstalling my client on a weekly basis, because there were inexplicable client side issues that slowly grew over the course of time, until lagfest.

tekkit serverside is a bit different tho, take note, tekkit is back in the day mods had a clientside jar and a serverside jar, so in most of the mods' cases the serverside ran considerably different code, and thus other patterns of corruption happen.

a REALLY common thing back in the tekkit days was people going balls to the walls with tech, basicly lagging the server into oblivion. a lot of public server owners had no idea of this problem, and just blamed random shit (i got blamed before for making a treefarm that lagged the server while the admin was doing 20K+ block world edits...). other server admins, like the server i spent a year or so of my tekkit time on, take their time to figure out where the lagfest problems are, and eliminate those (like getting rid of BC item transport, that was a joke it wasnt even funny), some took great effort in teaching their guests good policy.

today we have opis, which allows admins to moitor their server closely, and what's causing issues, but back in the tekkit days, all we had was guessing, and trial&error.

Ahh,

I remember this time that one of my friends tried to create some sort of flying carpet, and managed to crash the server as soon as he started it up. This turned into an endless frenzy of trying to spawn in and turn it off before the server crashed. Needless to say, it took a few attempts...
