Core Temp Conflict with SSD?

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

Turns out it was something to do with the OS, something most likely to do with Windows update, pretty sure it got so bad that it got stuck in an infinite loop during start up and configuration for the updates. Either way, looks like it's working fine now.

Hi, so I tried installing Core Temp a few times to my SSD and when it gets to the end of the installation it just freezes my entire OS. I rebooted a few times and I can't even uninstall it. I didn't have any problems installing it to my hard drive, maybe it's something to do with the SSD? I don't know please help

Are you using the 950 PRO? It's so fast it has thermal issues and throttles often.

Intel Core i7-6700K | Corsair H105 | Asus Z170I PRO GAMING | G.Skill TridentZ Series 16GB | 950 PRO 512GB M.2

Asus GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB STRIX OC | BitFenix Prodigy (Black/Red) | XFX PRO Black Edition 850W

Nope, Corsair Neutron XT 240GB, this is a brand new one they sent me from the RMA form I sent in. I tried CPU-Z and that works fine, maybe I should try a different software for testing the core temperatures, is there anything else out there? I had a similar issue before on my previous SSD but it took out CPU-Z so it wouldn't work either, but as I mentioned, CPU-Z is working fine. So... I have no idea...

Any other software available for testing core temperatures?

Plenty. RealTemp, HWmonitor, OpenHardwareMonitor, Speccy, HWiNFO, MSI Afterburner etc.
