Update:It's been forever since I updated this.

Truthfully, I've lost a lot of inspiration. Not saying I haven't done any work on the project, but I haven't done much. I've been tied up with life lately. I want to get back into this project, but as you can imagine, it's ambitious doing it all on my own.

Not sure how many of you care, considering not too many people followed this, even though many of you wanted this thread in the first place.

Regardless, I've opted to start a small dev studio. Maybe in the coming months I'll be able to recruit some help and get this game a boost.

Behold:

Blue Entropy Studios

This isn't like most build logs on this site, this is a game development build log!

I've decided to have a translucent development process to gather opinions on several gameplay mechanics.

Although this build will include a lot of behind the scenes work on the game, I will still limit what I reveal in order to prevent spoilers. Please follow for updates.

I present to you, LTT community, my first Indie title and the start to my company*.

I'll be updating the OP so you don't have to scroll through thread pages.

About the Game:

Made in Unreal Engine 4

Cognition is a psychological, narrative exploration game in which each advancement forces the player to change how they think or play the game. Gameplay mechanics change and the player must adapt in order to solve puzzles and mysteries by utilizing different control schemes or overcoming placebo. This game aims to achieve something different; it is not your average narrative driven single player game. Experience a twisted and dark story as you contemplate your own sanity.

Alpha 0.2 (current version)

-lighting not yet built

-underground tower has very basic structure and placeholder textures.

-added trees to area around 'tower'

Update:

Sorry I've not been updating much. I've been very busy with work. I managed to work on the game for a little bit last night. I won't be able to do any work tonight or tomorrow though. Next update coming either Thursday or Friday.

On a side note, a lot more of you guys voted that you'd be interested when I started a poll, but when I started the actual topic, only about 6 people are really interested. If you could, please share this thread to those who might be interested. Thank you :)

Bump it, man!

Its weird. I posted a topic a few days before this one asking if I should make it or not and about 16 people voted. Yet, for some reason, nobody seems to notice this thread at all. Maybe I should move it to PC Gaming.

Unless this is more mindfucking than anti-chamber, I'm not interested.

It might be. Depending on your preference. Imagine a maze but instead of it being on a flat plane, it would be in 3 planes. So you'd have to look up and see another pathway and walk down that by walking on the wall. It's hard to explain but it will be shown in the trailer. That would be how some of it is laid out.
