New middle-range gpu?

So I am looking for a new gpu that costs NO MORE than 450 USD. I don't know if I should go with the 390x, 970 or I should just wait for pascal/new Radeon GPUs. For reference, my CPU is an i5 4460.

The r9 390x is an excellent choice for that budget. I would suggest the Sapphire variant.

I wouldn't exactly call that middle ranged. Go with the 390X, it's quite ahead of the 970 and trades blows with the 980.

If you on very tight budget, you can go for lower GPU r9 380X that coming out soon.But otherwise yes go for 390x, best GPU you get for your price
