FPGA + FAH = PROFIT?

Hey guys. So, I know this isnt something that can currently be done (right?) but if it was added, would the PPD be good? I mean fpga's are good at things like btc because of parallelism right? So, if fpga support was added, would the ppd be good? Estimated values? And if it could be done, is there a chance it will be done in the future? Also, if it can be done, is there a reason it hasnt?

EDIT: http://www.fpgaathome.org/

 hmmmmm

Edit2:

http://fahwiki.net/index.php/Alternative_FAH_Platforms That reason for not using a FPGA is kind of BS...

I really wish someone could convince them to at least make an attempt for FPGA support... I mean from what I can tell, it would be pretty great...

There wont be. The method in which the FPGA's work for both mining, and to a lesser extent, BOINC, make them uncompatble for Folding - completely different solution. Also which a ASIC could never be used for folding. There was another post in the forum as well that talked about this in detail. Suffice to say, won't happen.

Also, Pande group has always been about supporting the most commercially available devices and such. This way they get the broadest exposure. So, they spend most of their design and programming time on GPU clients and CPU clients, where the bigget return on investment is.
