Hi, so I recently bought a new glass desk for my work/pc/office area and I was wondering if there was something I could use for lighting up these areas. I have seen these types of area being lit up before, but I can not recall what was available for solutions to these types of areas. I believe I have even seen RGB lighting in these areas but I'm not sure what was used. In addition, anything for lighting up a PC case as well? Any ideas or recommendations?

Kits like theses RGB LED strips are your best bet for doing ambient or area lighting:

This is what I recommend, the software is extremely well coded NZXT is just waiting for the actual units to arrive. It fits in a SSD mount, the strips have magnets on them so, go figure you can put them anywhere. You can do a lot of cool things with it.

Edit: comes with 4 LED strips included, a max of 8 can be used per device (I'm assuming you can have multiple) but 2 LED strips will light up a whole S340

Will this work for a PC case as well?

Yes they will. You can pick one with a Molex connector and plug it into your power supply. Some even connect off fan headers.
