LG G3 questions...

I have an LG G3 and I've had it for some time but there's a few things I can't figure out about it.

 

1. I have a pin setup on my phone and I use smart unlock so it doesn't lock my phone when I'm at home, sometimes when i'm out I will start typing my pin and when i get to about the 3rd number my device will unlock. It's kinda annoying because it forces me to stop typing in my pin and slide to unlock. Why does it do this and is there anyway to fix this?

 

2. Sometimes when i place my phone down the screen turns on. i know it has double tap to wake but sometimes even when i don't touch the screen or power button it still comes on.

if you get a notification then the screen will turn on to show you, even if you don't press anything. And a notification can be anything really, from a system update, to an update to smart notices, w/e.

 

As far as the pin stuff goes, im not sure. I never had that enabled on my g3, so i've not experienced it.
