Question about a ship.

I recently got the Constellation Aquila and it is suppose to have the P52 Merlin with it. Great  :D

The question; I am walking around the ship and I notice that the thruster assembly of the docked Merlin under the Constellation does not look like the Merlin but the rest of the body does, what is the ship?  (sorry I have no picture to show what I am describing). 

 

 

*Edit found a picture. The first pic is what I am refering to and the second pic is what I have. I also own a Merlin separately.

On the ship page, it didnt say it came with a merlin, but a rover of some kind. That does not seem like a rover to me, but who knows...

The Aquila comes with a Merlin, a rover, modified larger fuel tanks and one more thing.

The base Constellation doesn't come with the Merlin.

Possibly. At first I thought it was a previous version of the Merlin but I also bought a Merlin just before buying the Constellation so the final release model is what I have. I figured maybe the devs haven't updated the model on the constellation? Unless it is as you mentioned a different model and that would be great as it has more thruster's.  B)

It's a bug that came with the 1.3 version. For some reason they put the oldest Connie model (with the Merlin still attached) in the game.

My Andromeda has the same.

 

This is correct. 

 

The currently flyable p-52 looks vastly different to the original model we see bolted to the underside of the constellations. Expect even the mounting system to be different on the new constellations when that system is in place.

 

The old merlin also had a really retro cockpit:
