Bridged connection unidentified

I realize that i posted this in the wrong section now so ill post it again here

 

Im trying to bridge a connection from my laptop to my desk top. I plug the ethernet cable in and bridge my wifi from my laptop to the ethernet and it says identifing for a little while then it changes to unidentified. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Case:Diablotek DIAMOND ATX Mid Tower Case CPU:I3-540 GPU:Nvidia Geforce GT 630 RAM:Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 MOBO:Foxconn H55MX-S Micro ATX HDD:Toshiba 1Tb 7200rpm PSU:400w

You need to make sure your ethernet port supports cross over capability where it can receive the data that is sent from the laptop to your wired PC connection. Before this was available crossover ethernet cables are used but most if not all ethernet ports theses days can do it within the software.

how do i check this it doesnt say anything about it in my motherbaord manual

I believe it should be an option inside it's properties labeled as Midi or Mdi-X to enable cross over capabilities.

what properties im not finding anything on google either

what properties im not finding anything on google either

 

I believe if you have it set to auto under Speeds and Duplex it is enabled, I'm not super familiar with a bridged ethernet setup since i haven't tried it before:
