My friend has a USB flash drive that is also a standard 2x4 lego brick. He wants to build a tower of legos that reaches the USB port on his case from the ground. Does anybody have measurements of different computer cases from the case edge to the front panel USB? I can measure legos and find out how tall the stack should be for each case.

EDIT: Would it work for everyone who sees this to post their case name and distances from edes to USB ports, to compile a database of sorts?

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

LMAO This is a great topic. I wish I could help... I think the height of a LEGO brick (1x1x1) is 9.6mm.

EDIT: You could measure the height then build from there. I don't think you could get it exact, however, due to limitations in the LEGO building system (only factors of 3.2mm can be used as the shortest brick is 3.2mm in height with three plates equalling one brick).

I would but, due to unfavorable circumstances, I don't own anywhere close to every computer case on earth. I already know my case doesn't work, I was trying to find a case that does.

just look at product manufacturers pages of cases looking similar to what he is going for.

Dig up the most detailed PDF/manual/spec sheet of that case. They will generally contain several measurements in their scetches
