I've built a fair number of PC's (like 35) and I'm sure I've helped out dozens of new forum members in designing their builds as well so I thought I'd put together a handy guide on some builds that I would suggest for certain price ranges. I hope you enjoy my guide and I'll try and update these builds as newer faster components come out :)

Please note that this builds are based on my recommendations and may not be perfect for everyone's situation, also be aware that none of these system include OS's as there are many sources to get them online for incredibly cheap or free OS's such as Linux and SteamOS.

Now that that is all out of the way please enjoy Jacktastics Build Suggestions-

So the purpose of this build is be able to play games at 720p / 900p / 1080p on medium to high settings in popular AAA titles, although this PC isn't necessarily a "console killer" it could be consider to be one.

Nice to see a build guild like this to help people, looks well done to.

Thanks, I see a lot of builds suggested and they're good but they're not all around good, I believe all these systems I have set out here are all around good, not just a great CPU / GPU and a terrible everything else, there is balance.

Nice builds however, no ssd until $1500 is a bit of a turn-off.

Also I would shudder at the prices in Australia for equivalents of these builds.
