Minecraft poorly loading on my CPU

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

Hmmm.

Are you using VBOs?

If you are using VBOs; download and install the Optifine Mod. ( http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1272953-1-8-8-optifine-hd-f3-fps-boost-hd-textures )

Mess around with some of the chunk-load settings, ( in optifine )

Hello, iam playing minecraft 1.8.8 on 10 chunks render distance and whenever i switch to 32 it loads so slowly and i need to look there where it isnt loaded to load. I have an i5 4690K 4.5GHz all 4 Cores enabled and 16GB 1333MHz RAM. Also minecraft is installed on my SSD. Thanks for helping

GPU?

It's based on GPU and CPU. and by the way minecraft is highly single threaded not at all multi threaded.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

Apparently. I got bored of it very quickly. I never uninstalled it though.

Just for you, I fired up Minecraft with the same CPU and a better GPU but less RAM, and I have the same issues. I think it's just down to Minecraft being a poorly optimised game and not utilising the full power of components (my old MacBook Pro with a dual core i5 and 4GB RAM performed nearly the same as my quad-core overclocked i5 and 8GB of RAM because reasons)

Is the 2gb on the gpu being maxed out when you try using 32 as a render distance? You can use gpuz to check it,

One of the most bought (and it is maintaining a foothold, I might add) games in the world.

Yes, you do have a point.... But there are a lot of people who don't play on it anymore :P

I get the same issue. 200+ fps for what seems like 16 render distance and then when it tries loading more it tanks the performance really bad.

How much ram is allocated to mc? Or I should say, how much is being used? Also, like another user suggested, try optifine.

10GB

That should be more than plenty. In fact you don't really need more than 2gb

CPU - FX 8350 @ 4.5GHZ GPU - Radeon 5700  Mobo - M5A99FX Pro R2.0 RAM - Crucial Ballistix 16GB @ 1600 PSU - Corsair CX600M CPU Cooler - Hyper 212 EVO Storage - Samsung EVO 250GB, WD Blue 1TB

Actually i need because with lower than 4GB mobs doesnt move

Well then you must have a different issue with mc.
