I just got a second 980, ran to my computer slapped her in there, put on that sli bridge that has been sitting on my desk taunting me for the past 4 months annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd.

Flickering.
Crashing.
Black Screens.

ANY game that I run in full screen just will not work, every single one will flicker like some shit hipster club, take a crap, black screen, then spit me out to the desktop.

I can get GTA V to work in windowed mode, but I get no performance increase when I do, so I don't know what the problem is.

I'm currently on the latest driver (the battlefront beta one, I was on an earlier one but I had the same effect).

SLI is enabled in nvidia control panel, precision x and afterburner both recognize the cards. I have no idea how to fix this I and need someone to show me the light.

Will you be that person internet dweller? Please be that person.

Are you using the SLI profile for each game?

I have googled sli profiles but from what I have seen it seems that they come with the driver and run as soon as I launch the game?

I'm new to SLI if you cant already tell.

If what I said was completely wrong could you direct me to where I could find these profiles and how to run them?

It should turn on automatically, you can always look in your global settings in nvidia control panel.

Can you post a full list of your parts?

Higher frame rate over higher resolution.

Is this the motherboard you have??

It doesn't appear to support sli unfortunately, that could definitely be your issue.

I got two different results when I googled the motherboard, if you could post a link that would help us narrow down.

Sorry if I sound demanding lol

Attention everyone:

I had two problems, one was that a sli finger was broken (one of the two on the far left), and the other being that my sli bridge was a lemon.

I now have a new bridge moved over to the other spot.

Lord GabeN is smiling upon me now.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions.

If a mod could close this down that would be great.
