So i live in a house with 7 or so people

And every one of them decide to download on the (already slow) internet. Rendering it unusable for people to use

I really need a system to either display the bandwidth each device is using or even better limit it.

My router is a Netcomm Wireless NB604N

Thanks in advance for any help

What is your ISP? Also your speeds?

Your problem is that you've got 7 people that are watching/downloading videos or whatever. You need to set QoS.

I'm living with 11 people, sharing an internet connection on 5mpbs. It's awful. I can't do any work. @EpicNinjaCheese Please follow your topics

:P "7 or so people"....don't you know how many people you live with?....where is this, a rich person's crack house?

You don't need to monitor anything, just put their MAC addresses in the router and limit the DL and UL speed there and keep quiet....simple.

Sorry i haven't been around, the net has been down (again) :\

I actually do have QoS set, the problem is that we don't have very much bandwidth at all and usually QoS doesn't do much help

I was looking at different firmware options for this router but i can't seem to get one that supports it

Yeah unfortunately its not that simple, is there a way to do that in this router because i have really looked almost everywhere through its config and still nothing

I have looked into this setting and nowhere can i find an option to limit a device's DL and UL in "mac filtering".

In fact i've used this feature before to block people on my local network but right now it wont even let me click on the button that lets me "change policy"

any ideas?

Check QoS, you should be able to limit in the QoS but i am not totally sure.

I think for you it would be IP QoS and what you would do is get the IP addresses of the other devices, input the IP addresses and then select something like Low Priority in the QoS and put High Priority for your IP address, which you would also input in the list, which will then allow your PC to get more bandwidth then the other devices.
