Dual Channel Ram issue

I'm having an issue with dual channel ram. I bought a kit and previously I had a single ram stick that ran perfectly fine. When i tried to change to the dual channel ram kit for some reason the computer would boot ( but the display/ mouse wouldn't turn on but my keyboard would light up) then my computer would reboot and remain the same. I tried each ram stick individually and tried a single stick in each ram slot and it works perfectly fine. I'm stuck I even tried to cmos reset and boot up with dual ram but still to no avail. Please help!!

Mobo: MSI z97 Gaming 5

Ram: G.skill 2x4gb ddr3-2133mhz
