I'm Looking to build a sub $400 Gaming PC Should i use a APU?

I am in the process of making a $450 USD PC and I realized that an apu really doesn't bring that much to the table and your better off with a system like what I'll whip up in a sec

If buying new, an A10 7870k apu is is a great option. If going Scrapyard Wars, then it could possibly not.

You are on a need to know basis, and you don't need to know.

Or, look on Ebay for something like a Q6600 & a board to go with it- I got a Q6600 and a motherboard, and RAM for under 50$.

Follow your topics for one; and for two; either A look at above PC partpicker lists or B try and do something like Scrapyard Wars esque by buying used parts that are locally availible, which at that budgets the most cost efficient method.

before someone recommends a G3258, a quad core is better than a dual core, and they're the same price pretty much. (especially since some games (mainly ubisofts) are locking people that have dual cores out)

I recommend buying an os from here for cheap https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/comments/3pepc4/h_office_2016_for_pc_mac_now_in_stock_windows_10/
