Need help deciding about two things...

First of all, I am thinking of upgrading to a GTX 970, But I am in debate on which is better... Either a MSI GTX 970 4G or a ASUS Strix 970. Also I am looking for a 1080p monitor around 100-120 USD. If anyone can list one, That would be awesome. Thankyou

Get a R9 390 instead of a 970, same price and performance but double the VRAM.

I forgot to mention, I'd rather not go with AMD cards for personal preference, I've had bad experiences before.

I can personally recommend the MSI Gaming 4G one from 970's, however I highly recommend going for the 390, or a 290X if you can still find it, there are some pretty good deals for them out there currently.

You think you're going to have a problem worse than having half the VRAM you could have got?

You have a 100% chance of having half the VRAM by getting a 970.

You likely won't have issues with a 390.

I think it's obvious what to bet on.

And I've had bad experiences with Nvidia before, doesn't mean I won't use one of their cards if it's the best choice (which it isn't in this case). Sh*t happens, products can be defective/DOA, doesn't matter where it comes from.

Ok... Ill rethink AMD cards then. But one last question, Does AMD have auto updating drivers like NVIDIA? That is one of the main reasons I love NVIDIA.

No because they don't release drivers updates for every single game release like Nvidia does.

My 290 does, I have it set up in the Catalyst control center. I did have to manually download the beta driver though.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
