best antivirus program ?

i use Avast! free antivirus, and i scan with malwarebytes from time to time. both are pretty good and free to use.

1st of all you shouldnt get a antivirus software, you should get a anti-malware program. Its better. My recomendation is IOBit Malware Fighter. Hope this helped :)

It depends on what you need it for.

 

If it is for your grandmother who clicks on EVERYTHING, then MalwareBytes is good.

 

If it is for personal use to scan incoming emails and such, ClamAV is also very good.

 

But mostly common sense. That will go very far for you.

Windows Defender and system scans with Malwarebytes. I find anti-virus more annoying than useful, so I don't really use any.

Please for the love of god dont use IObit Malware Fighter!

It has the lowest detection rate i have EVER seen!

Avira for me :) really easy to remove false positives. Avast and Panda are stubborn anti viruses that's near impossible to remove false positives.

i swear by AVG free, its brilliant, and a good malwarebytes scan monthly

as a guy who tries a lot of shit I will say either Kaspersky or bit defender. I prefer the kaspersky interface.
