Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Solitaire.

For Battlefront you'll want to be realistic about the settings you choose. Ultra pushed my 4690k pretty hard, I got higher temps than when stress testing using AIDA64.

I was actually able to play it at 900p on ultra at 60 fps but the frame rates dropped significantly in modes like walker assault.

The fx 6300 uses a different socket, so it would mean changing out your motherboard too. I would either wait for Zen, buy a cheap a10 that will fit your motherboard, or change to Intel (since Intel cpu's are similarly priced and offer more features and perfromance.).

Get a i3-4170 or a i3-6300 if you want to get new RAM.

We have no idea what Zen is going to offer, and it isn't suppose to come out until Q3 2016 I believe.

There is no reason whatsoever to go AMD right now.   Zen may change that.  (I hope it does)   But getting any AMD processor right now is a waste of money.

Tell my tale to those who ask. Tell it truly; the ill deeds along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly.

Yep, resolution impacts it pretty hard too. Not a huge difference between the settings in Battlefront. Biggest change you would see at 900p is the lack of particle effects in blaster hits and explosion, and that's a low settings.

I was able to play with an a4-6300.

I would buy now. There dirt cheap and some places throw in a MB for free. If Zen is a success It will be a year before it is affordable and after one year they will have a wider selection. Just like they did with Kavari. A10 7850k came out at close to 200 bucks and now 7870k's are 129 with a great cpu cooler and the 7850 is as low as 109. Or you can get an 860k and a cheapo MB. Search youtube for 860k vs 6300, There is a great vid comparing the two. Remember when the 9590 came out is was 800 bucks or so. Its not till you get to the more expensive gpu's that the 6300 pulls away from the 860k.

I personally Love my 7850k. It is my main gaming rig.
