Hey everyone,

I've been getting the itch lately to build a new PC. Fortunately for me, the gf's PC is ~6 years old and her birthday is this month. So! I'm taking this opportunity to take a shot at my first water cooling project. Coincidentally, this will also be my first mATX build; so I'm pretty nervous and excited to get started. Something to note: I have a 1TB VelociRaptor drive laying around, so I'm going to be using that for storage. Let me know if I missed anything or if you have some advice. Now on to the parts list!

I would drop the pro for the evo drive other than that looks good. Maybe get cheaper ram, but that is more of an aesthetic choice.

no need for dominator platinums or the samsung 840 pro just get the regular one or the evo, also wait for 9000 series and the power supply is overkill unless you plan on going SLI :)

Get a 7950 instead. It's cheaper and better.

Platinums are a waste of money. Ram is ram and brand does not affect performance. Any CL9 1600 ram will do.

Get the normal 840. The difference in speed is unnoticeable.

Velociraptors are a waste of money espeicially now with ssds. Just get a seagate barracuda.

The ax760i is overkill. A decent 650w is enough for a 760 sli. For 7950CF, get a 750w bronze and you're solid.

Are you sure you want to use nickel blocks?  I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure that using nickel and copper in the same system will aid in corrsoion of the metals.  Typically most people try to stick with only one metal.

I agree.  The 7950 canalso be had for fantastic deals right now.  I know that NewEgg had recent sales on both the PowerColor 7950 and most recently the XFX, which comes with one of the best warranties in the business.  Note:  He says he already has the Velociraptor.

Many of the 7950's are on sale including the Twin Frozr and Sapphire.
