New keyboard for FPS player

Hello all,

 

I have a perfectly good lovely logitech G110 that has served me really well, however i want to see what this mechanical hype is all about. Im looking at getting a Corsair K90 but would love suggestons on what keyboards and switches people would recommend.

Switches is a personal preference, Corsair says reds are best I disagree. The K65/K70 is Corsairs more FPS oriented keyboard but the K95/K90 will do the exact same you will just have all the macros on the left

Do you live with others, and how thin are your walls? Because if you do, browns might be the way to go since they are a lot quieter than the others.

Go to a store and try out different switches. My personal preference is not necessarily your preference. Personally I love brown switches but a friend of mine can't play with other switches than reds

Supposedly linear switches have an edge for the odd thing like double-taps, but I don't know that there's really a significant difference.

 

I'd suggest getting one of WASD's sampler kits, then buy whatever keyboard has the switches, features and aesthetics you prefer.

I like the reds, im thinking either corsair k90 or k95
