Fresh install of windows on an EXISTING SSD -- help

Go to solution Solved by DimasRMDO,

1. Or load "Optimized setup" in BIOS, it can help.

2. Boot to your Windows installer (DVD/USB) and format your SSD.

You can make Windows installer using RufusWindows USB/DVD Maker, or Command Prompt.

3. Install Windows.

4. Done.

Hey, Thanks for clicking!

Firstly, I want to summarize what I am trying to do here.

1. I want to reset my BIOS; so I will be removing my battery from my motherboard (this is going to hopefully solve some issues from a previous issue)

2. While resetting my BIOS I also want to fresh install windows, to start fresh and new

3. I want to install the new windows onto my Samsung SSD

4. I only have ~110GB of used memory on my 1TB HDD and SSD combined, but I have moved all my files to a 1TB ExternalHD. I want to install windows and the boot to my SSD and keep it a boot drive for windows, Battlefield, CS:GO, and soon to come SW: Battlefront. While I make my HDD for basic documents and download files.

5. My SSD already has a boot drive on it (I cloned my HDD to my SSD.... I later found out this was a bad idea and is why I want to change it); but I want to delete it and restart

So, my question is: How do I delete the existing information from both my HDD and SSD in order to fresh install windows and start from the beginning?

Any suggestions on how to complete any of my 5 goals let me know.

If you have any concerns, or think I should do something differently let me know.

Thanks again,
