Yeah similar to Steam and to my surprise, the speeds are actually quite decent!

yes indeed, i went past my speed limit. but ISP's having trouble in my area.

Not for me i get 2.8mb/s from origin and i get 4.1mb/s from steam. Weirdly my internet package is 36m bits so it shouldnt go over 3,6 but im not complaining

Yeah, download speed was quite good, but origin somehow managed to just stop the download for no reason 4-5 times when i downloaded the 20 gigs for bf3. Needed to completely quit and restart origin to make it continue. So you might want to check casually if it is still downloading. Oh, and the good thing about that... when it stopped it still showed me a normal download rate, so i needed to watch the size of the downloaded files for a few seconds to see if it is growing or not... thumbs up EA... fine piece of software you got there :D
