It's hard to say without the specifics. Office builds tend to have no-name PSUs, crappy motherboards, bad cooling and slow storage, so they're not suited to higher end components. I'd say it's probably cheaper to buy the parts for a gaming build, but it depends how much you're paying for the office build and what the specs are.
